Lets start this post by saying taht upon recieving thise books I went into work and within two hours I was miserable. And had you followed me on twitter you have seen this tweet:
Dear Flu Giver (That is you sister), You are no longer allowed to be around me, we shall work out TV times later. Love Flu HATER!!!I went to the doctor and was given antibiotics which partly helped but looking at my computer just caused the pressure of my sinuses to be so much worse. Of course the only thing I really wanted to to was sleep and that is all I really did, and I am a college student, I do not have time to sleep all the time.

So onto the Swap:
I recieved my books from Sarabeth @ Chronicles of Sarita (the first time I read this I thought it was Santa, may have been the being sick).
Book Sarabeth Loved:
Werewolf in Manhattan by Vicki Lewis Thompson
This series has actually caught my eye before as I have read books by Vicki Lewis Thompson before. They are currently all classified as TBR on my goodreads account because I wanted to make them all easy to find when I was packing up my books to move and they have not become unpacked.
Book she has not read but thinks I will love:
Night Shift by Lilith Saintcrow
Something tells me that this book will be read while I am working an overnight at work and I will never want to leave my house ever again at that time of night, but I have to agree with her statement that the cover really does draw you in to the point that it went into my purse for reading first chance I get.
Book selected from my wishlist:
Linger by Maggie Stievfater
So this was a book that my brother's cute as a button girlfriend said I would love, and when a sweetie like her tells you to try something you do, but first now I have to go and steal the first book in the series from her since she owned that one (this one she did not, she had borrowed it from another friend that I do not know).
So I have to think that Sarabeth did a great job on choosing these books, I am really interested in Night Shift and have plans to start it as soon as I am caught back up on my reading that I was too sick to mess with and posting of reviews since some of them are sitting with lots of notes and nothing ready to post.
Word to the wise go and get yourself a FLU shot if you have not it is not fun to have it and I am still sick just not really reading this as I type.
I'm so happy that you liked the books I chose for you and I apologize for not sending you the first book in the series by Maggie Stiefvater. I assumed you had it since I only saw book 2 on your wish list :(
ReplyDeleteI work at the hospital so I know all about the Flu epidemic going on and I sure do hope you are feeling better!

ReplyDeleteYay for some great books! And well-timed, too...nothing like snuggling up with good books to help beat the flu. I'm glad you joined us for this fantastic swap! And (as a fellow flu sufferer this month, despite having my flu shot) I hope you feel better ASAP!
